Skanda Mata the fifth form of Nava Durga. Her name comes from the word Skanda the war god also called Kartikeya, who is her son.

Maa Skandamata is worshiped on the fifth day of Navratri. She is the avatar of Parvati and in this form, she is seen carrying her son Kartikeya in her lap.

Worshiping her purifies the devotes heart fills wisdom as she is the goddess of endurance, by offering innovation the worshippers can travel the tranquil universe to pacify there mind and soul.

Her mantra — by reciting this mantra the devotes get the blessings of Kartikeya too and all there undiluted thoughts are cleansed, they become free from meaningless anxiety and stress.
